Très peu de temps
après, sois en Novembre 2002, François Landry arrive
dans le groupe comme le nouveau bassiste. Il ammene alors un impact
positif puisque seulement 2 mois plus tard, François Beaulieu
(PSI Records, ex Emböm) un guitariste talentueux et enthousiaste,
arriva comme nouveau membre au sein de la formation.
Après quelques dates de la tournée, François Landry quitte le
groupe pour des raisons personnelles. Il quitte le groupe de façon
amicale puisque ce n'est pas pour des raisons professionnelles ni
musicales. Pierre Lampron (ex Subversion) arriva
comme nouveau bassiste en Juin 2004. Pierre a dévelloper de
l'expérience sur scène et en studio, ce qui sera un bon atout pour
le groupe. ENGLISH VERSION The group was created towards the end of the year 2000 by Patrick St-Yves (Guitarist / Singer) in the city of Drummondville (close to Montreal). After several changes of drummers and bass players, LYING TRUTH solidified its line-up with the arrival of Eric Lauzon at the drums. Not long after that, the band found their bass player. Shortly after its creation, LYING TRUTH produced a demo recorded at an outside show in Melbourne. This demo named LIVE INSANITY contained 8 songs of furious thrash metal recorded live at the show. LIVE INSANITY was produced by François Beaulieu of PSI Records. The group instantly attracted a lot of attention and good reviews. Musically, the group was oriented towards catchy thrash rhythms with a touch of "Speed Metal". They opened for several shows for groups such as ‘’Les Cultivateurs Contestataires’’, Martyr, Sweet Distortion, Subversion, Emböm and Fist of Fury. LYING TRUTH acquired valuable experiences from those shows and became very respected on the Drummondville underground scene. It was time for the group to be heard across the province of Quebec. However, in October 2002, both the guitar and bass player left the group for musical and professional differences. After a short period of reflection, Patrick and Eric decided that all of this would not bring them down and that nothing could stop LYING TRUTH from being born again. It took very little time for everything to be put back together. In November 2002, François Landry arrived in the group as the new bass player which caused a great positive impact on the group. Then only 2 months after, François Beaulieu (PSI Records, ex Emböm) a talented and enthusiastic guitarist, arrived as the new member within the band. With all of this new blood running through the veins of LYING TRUTH their music became even more Speed Metal with a touch of Death Metal. Nothing could stop them now. In May 2004, they organized in collaboration with the band Last Breath, a mini-tour to promote thrash metal in Quebec named “THRASH ASSAULT TOUR’’. The tour visited several cities of Quebec. Lying Truth had now acquired a solid stage experience. A few gigs into the tour, François Landry had to leave the group for personal reasons. He left on good terms since it wasn’t for professional or musical reasons. Then came Pierre Lampron (ex Subversion) as the new bass player in June 2004. Pierre had already a lot of stage and studio recording experience, which was a positive asset for the band.
After the tour, which ended at the end of November 2004, all of the
guys from LYING TRUTH took a small, well deserved break from the
stage. They concentrated on writing new material in order to record
their first album, which was to be released at the
beginning of 2006. After playing severals shows in the area, the
band opened for the MONTREAL MASSACRE FESTIVAL which included some
of the finest old school bands. Bands such as
Razor, DBC, Exciter,
Anvil, Aggression and Piledriver played at this
festival.
