galerie virtuelle Landscapes, next (click on image to enlarge it) Here a text from the artist that illustrates her contact with her environment. " In 1979, at the Marie Guyard Complex, one of the Quebec Government Buildings in Quebec City, I held a showing under the theme of "Herbe à la neige". The theme chosen was inspired to me by a poem written by Félix Leclerc, a well known and widely acclaimed Quebec poet and singer in France. In fact, his reputation was made there before becoming accepted in his own country. Since that time, and in my mind, words written in one of his poems – about his own perception of time fleeting away and the music of the Four Seasons by Vivaldi where meant to go together. Unmistakably, in my paintings we find a certain fantasy of warm or cold, vibrant and sometimes gloomy colors of Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. In fact, they are the colors of the country I live in, Quebec, with a window open to the world. I believe also that there is a close reference to every human life. Let me convince you by personally inviting you to a showing of my paintings Have a good visit, Hildegarde Carle, painter from Bois-Francs, Quebec."
